yasoon makes scheduling meetings easy with the new Outlook Meeting integration for Jira

yasoon, the Atlassian-verified Marketplace Top Vendor with an exclusive focus on Microsoft integrations, announces a new app for Jira and Jira Service Desk.

The Outlook Meeting integration for Jira helps IT agents using Jira or Jira Service Desk to easily schedule appointments with the reporter. If an issue needs more clarification, a short call would do, but going back and forth in the comments to try and agree on a time is frustrating.

IT service desk agents can now see whether users inside their organization are available for a call right now – and if not, when their next free slots would be. All the information comes from Outlook calendars, based on Microsoft 365.

Using Microsoft Graph, Outlook Meeting integration for Jira compares calendars of the agents, users, and any other participants and shows meeting times that work for all parties to the agent. This saves time, especially when dealing with multiple stakeholders on one ticket or different time zones.

It even works with stakeholders outside your organization: The app also sends Outlook calendar invites with dial-in info from Microsoft Teams or Skype. And it adds the meeting information to comments in the ticket for everyone to see.

“With our new app, we want to eliminate unnecessary road blocks for IT agents. Making a quick call to the ticket owner shouldn’t be a problem – we make it really easy now,” said Andreas Schmidt, CEO of yasoon.

“Microsoft Graph provides partners the opportunity to build deep integrations for Microsoft 365. yasoon leverages the possibilities of Microsoft Graph to offer our mutual customers rich context and real-time information in Jira, such as meeting availability,” said Mike Ammerlaan, Director Product Marketing Ecosystem at Microsoft Corporation.
